The leather can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth and wiped dry (remember to keep away from sources of heat) if cleaning is required. It is important to note that particularly where the shoes are concerned, they should be stored individually (in their felt pouch) as two patent surfaces will tend to stick together and possibly mark as a result. Patent will very easily pick up ink and other pigments such as newspaper print, so it is advisable to avoid contact with strongly coloured/printed items.
